We Can Do It, Women’s Equality Day Rally will be held on August 26, 2018 at the Historic Brooksville Woman’s Club from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm. This year will mark the 98th Anniversary of women winning the right to vote under the 19th Amendment that paved the path for social and political change.
Women’s March Central Gulf Coast Florida will be hosting an educational, inspirational and interactive day celebrating and honoring the strength, power and persistence of women as we journey through time. Be a part of our community as we explore the past, honor the present, and prepare for the future by bringing our unified power as women to the polls!
Shirley Hartley, Founder and first Chairman of the National Women’s Hall of Fame, located in Seneca Falls NY will be in attendance at the event. The National Women’s Hall of Fame was founded not only to commemorate the Convention but to honor in perpetuity America’s most outstanding women of achievement.
This year’s theme, We Can Do It, will feature educational re-enactments, motivational speakers, entertainment, art activities, Rosie the Riveter photo booth, recognition of local women candidates, and much more. Each attendee will receive a commemorative How Women Won the Vote Gazette and swag bags with goodies from our sponsors.
Women’s Equality Day is a time for us to celebrate, re-energize our spirits, and come together in the strength of feminine community. Bring your daughters, sisters, mothers, grandmothers and girlfriends. Everyone is welcome!
