Friday:

  • Eat FREE at Chick-fil-A in honor of Cow Appreciation Day! They are offering a free combo meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to any customer who stops in fully dressed as a cow! Customers dressed “head to hoof” in cow attire will receive a free Chick-fil-A meal, which includes an entrée, side item and Dr pepper® (or beverage of choice). Customers who are too “chicken” to go all out in cow attire will receive a free entrée of choice for wearing a cow-spotted accessory, such as a hat, scarf, tie or purse.velveteen1
  • FREE Eat Healthy/Be Active Community Workshop 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Changes Fitness & Nutrition covering “Eating Healthy On a Budget” is suitable for all ages. Seating is limited and registration is required so call (352) 200-4680 to reserve you spot and tell them Spring Hill Now sent ya!
  • Children’s production of The Velveteen Rabbit starting at 8:00 pm at Stage West Community Playhouse- In this famous production, a velveteen rabbit is given as a Christmas present to a small boy, but is neglected for toys of higher quality or function, which shun him in response. The rabbit is informed of magically becoming real by the wisest toy in the nursery through the extreme adoration and love from children. Though he is awed by this concept, his chances of becoming real are slight. Tickets are $10.

  • 2013 Worlds Greatest Baby Shower & Toddler Expo 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Hernando County Health Department will feature door prizes and an abundance of information about resources available to parents. This FREE educational, entertaining and inspirational community event is for all expecting/new mothers and fathers, infants, and toddlers.
  • 10th Annual Walk on the Wild Side 10:00 am – 1:30 pm at the Wildlife Survival Sanctuary where attendees are invited to walk around and check out the beautiful animals and all children will receive a free toy while supplies last. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase but admission is free.
  • Under the Oaks at the Farm beginning at 10:00 am will feature some cool shade, fresh air, and some special walks and workshops including a workshop on handmade flutes and how to play them and two nature walks with workshops on finding and identifying edible plants and making natural dyes from Florida native plants. Singer-songwriter Rod MacDonald will be performing in the evening.
  • Spring Hill Writing Group meeting 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Spring Hill Branch Library where attendees give and receive constructive feedback on writings. This group is meant to encourage anyone who writes, or would like to write, and wants the support and camaraderie of other writers. Writers and non-writers alike are welcome.wrestling
  • FREE! LIVE! Pro Wrestling Event starting at 7:30 pm at Rookies Sports Bar & Grill will feature a 1st time encounter match (Simon Sez vs. Oliver Grimsley), a tag team matchup (The Virus vs. TECH Squad), a one on one (Eric Alverado vs. Aaron Epic), and three additional matches! The ring will be setup in the parking lot and the event is FREE!
