Friday:

  • Annual Light Up Ridge Manor Christmas Festival at 6:00 pm promises to be tons of fun for the whole family. Santa Claus will make an appearance and the event will feature activities, food, Christmas carolers, a cakewalk, Smokey Bear’s House, a DJ, a performance by John Leggio’s dance troupe, and a silent auction.wonderful life2
  • Candy Cane Acres 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm at the Hernando County Fairgrounds- Visit the Christmas village and stop by Mrs. Claus’ kitchen to decorate a cookie. Then stop by Santa’s workshop to make a craft and take a (Florida style) sleigh ride. Kids can play games and run around in the magical play land and fresh baked treats and decadent fudge, hot chocolate or hot apple cider, and eggnog will be available for everyone to indulge!
  • Hernando Symphony Orchestra’s Holiday Concert 7:30 pm at Stage West Community Playhouse featuring vocalist Morgan Burburan and songs like O Holy Night, Do You Hear What I Hear, It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, and more.
  • It’s a Wonderful Life at 7:30 pm presented by The Live Oak Theatre Company is a staged radio reading staring the well known actor, David Sanborn as George Bailey, Brooksville storyteller, Jerry Cowling as Clarence, Randi Olsen as Mary, and Vince Vanni as the villainous Mr. Potter.   • Hernando Heritage Museum Ghost Tour by reservation only for ages 16 and up. Legend has it that the Heritage Museum, a four-story, 12-room house, built more than 151 years ago by Brooksville pioneer John May, is inhabited by the spirits of long-deceased family members, including May’s 3-year-old daughter, Jessie. The Museum offers ghost tours on Friday and Saturday nights from 8:00-10:00 p.m.pancake1

Saturday:

  • Bark Island where you can bring your bestest furry pals over to Pine Island to splash, play, and enjoy the beach from 7:30 until 9:30 a.m
  • Annual Pancake Breakfast With Santa 8:00 am – 11:30 am featuring all you can eat eat Pancakes, Sausage, Bacon, Juice, Coffee, Tea and Donuts. Santa will be present for pictures with the kids! Lots of Holiday Entertainment!
  • Holiday in the Gardens 9:00 am – 12:00 pm in the Nature Coast Botanical Gardens featuring refreshments, entertainment, and decorate wreathes and evergreen trees.
  • Family Fun Day at Little Rock Cannery 10:00 am – 2:00 pm featuring tours of the cannery, children’s games, arts and crafts, raffles and a special visit from Santa.
  • Open Paint at Artful Possibilities 10:00 am – 5:00 pm where you choose a piece of ceramic or plaster, paint it, and take it home. They’ve got lots of holiday themed pieces as well as every day creations to choose from.pets in park
  • Pets in the Park 10:00 am – 5:00 pm at Tom Varn Park for pets and owners to enjoy entertainment, games and contests, food, and companionship.
  • Santa and Cupcakes! Santa’s stopping by Babycakes Cup-Cakery (4196 Mariner Blvd) 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm to take pictures and hand out treats and to celebrate the store’s 1 year anniversary they are offering a 10% discount or Buy 3 Get 1 Free (limit one) and will be having drawings on the hour.
  • Santa & Superheroes Toy Drive 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm where Santa and his elves will be onsite along with Spiderman, The Immortal Iron Fist, and some other superheroes to visit and take pictures with the kids.

  • Christmas Boat Parade & Chili Cook Off at the Yacht Club where everyone is invited to enjoy the parade, food, and fun. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and the parade starts at 6:00. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded for the best decorated boats and the best chili.boat parade
  • The 28th Annual Weeki Wachee River Christmas Boat Parade December 7th can be seen from Rogers Park or Bayport Pier at 6:30 p.m.
