  • FREE Movie in the Park starting at 8:30 p.m. at Tom Varn Park hosted by The City of Brooksville Parks Department. Grab your chairs or blankets and enjoy a showing of Despicable Me starring the voice of Steve Carell as Gru, a super-villain who adopts three girls from an orphanage; and the voice of Jason Segel as Vector, a rival of Gru who steals the Great Pyramid of Giza. When Gru learns of Vector’s heist, he plans an even greater heist: to shrink and steal the Earth’s moon. Kettle corn, snow cones, hot dogs and drinks will be available for purchase.

  • Gun & Knife Show Benefiting Homeless Veterans 9:00 am – 5:00 pm at The Palace Grand featuring a raffle with various prizes including a firearm, one-of-a-kind patio table, a fragmentation protective vest, Publix gift card, and a German dagger. In addition to the numerous vendors, excellent food will be available at reasonable prices and the event will feature a 50/50 drawing. Harley-Davidson models will be onsite with some of their new models to check out and a FREE raffle for a $250 gift card. Attendees will also be able to try the Harley-Davidson® JUMPSTART™ Rider Experience which combines a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a specially-designed, stationary support stand. You may have heard people say that there’s nothing like being on a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle. Now, you can find out for yourself – even if you have no previous experience with motorcycles! The cost is $8 per person at the door. Children 12 and under are free.supplies
  • Back to School Giveaway 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at Journey Christian Center will have free school supplies, house hold items, and gently used clothing. No sign up or registration is required.
  • Big Bang Bowling Blast 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Mariner Lanes featuring cosmic bowling (lights out with glowing lanes). Kids (4 and up) are free and adults are $10 per person for two hours. Call call (352) 683-7576 to reserve a lane.
  • School Supply Giveaway 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at New Beginnings Life Center Church- In addition to distributing school supplies the church’s free event will feature hamburgers, hotdogs, and a bounce house.
  • 2nd Annual Rock the Block Concert 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm at Rookies Sports Bar & Grill featuring food, drinks, and tons of live music! All ages welcome. 21 and up free. 20 and under are $5.
  • Stan Prinston R&B Concert starting at 7:00 pm at The Lake House- Tickets are $10 per person and seating is Limited. Snacks will be served. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
