The Neighborhood Jr.. Youth Group invites all kids who want to make a difference in the world to meet with other like-minded youths in Hernando County. The group meets at least twice a month and has fun participating in the arts (dance, singing, arts & crafts), board games, sports, movie nights, pizza parties & discussions about what you can do to change the world. It’s an action-filled good time and awesome learning experience! The group includes both members and non members of the Baha’i Faith. Baha’i Faith is an independent religion. Baha’is believe in the common foundation of all religions, the equality of men and women, independent investigation of the truth, and the elimination of all forms of prejudice. They are followers of Baha’u’llah, who they believe is the most recent Messenger of God for the conditions of humanity today. The Jr. Youth Group focuses on unity, oneness, service, and truthfulness to make their community better. Anyone interested in becoming involved with the Jr. Youth Group can contact Terri at (352) 410-9171. Click here for more information about the Baha’i Faith.
The next Meeting of the Minds will be held on Friday, August 9th at 7:00 p.m. at Spring Hill United Church of Christ (4244 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill, FL) to discuss “Kids Making a Positive Difference in the Community and the World”. Come see what these kids have to say about the work and fun they have been doing in the community, from planting vegetable gardens to volunteer clean-ups and some fun at the beach with a pizza party afterwards. Then stay after the talk for a very special ice cream social, including root beer floats! If you need a ride or would like more information, please call Dori at (352) 666-7280.
