Screen Shot 2014-09-03 at 9.45.07 AMThe Hernando County Public Library is now offering free streaming movies and television episodes for all library card holders through the Freegal Movies and Television Service. Freegal is a completely free and legal way to stream movies and television episodes. With your library card, you’ll have access to thousands of feature films and television episodes from major content providers in addition to music. Using your library card number and 4-digit PIN code you can access three movies per week. Once a movie or television episode is checked out, you’ll have 48 hours to access it and it can be streamed any number of times during that 48 hours. After those 48 hours, you cannot stream the same movie or television episode for the next 6 months. The movies and television episodes can be viewed on a computer, laptop, or mobile device. Free apps for this service are available through the Apple App Store and through Google Play. Forgot your PIN or need a library card? Stop by your local library and a library staff member will be happy to help. To get started streaming now go to or access the service from the Library’s website. For more information, call (352) 754-4043 or visit the library’s website at
