- Learn to play ukulele – Friday,July 5, 12 and 19 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the East Hernando Branch located at 6457 Windmere Road in Brooksville
Join Tampa Bay Ukulele Society guest instructor Gayle Grindey as she leads students through the basics of playing the ukulele. Guaranteed to be a lot of fun! Bring your own instrument or use one of our class instruments. Registration required.
- Christmas in July! Author Talk – Friday, July 19 at the Main Library located at 238 Howell Avenue in Brooksville and Friday, July 26 at the Spring Hill Branch located at 9220 Spring Hill Drive, both from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Join us for this Christmas in July event! Meet writer Jason Korsiak, who celebrated Christmas for an entire year and wrote about the lessons it taught him in “Christmas Addict, the memoir of a man who loved Christmas a little too much!”
- Cosplay Showcase + Manga Exchange for Teens – Monday, July 22 from 4 – 5:30 p.m. at the West Hernando Branch located at 6335 Blackbird Avenue in Brooksville
Do you have extra Manga at home you have already read? Bring it to the library and swap it out for other Manga with others who also bring theirs! You might discover a new series or revisit an old favorite. If you’re into Cosplay, show up as your favorite character and share ideas to inspire each other. Cosplays from all types of fandom are welcome. Recommended ages 13-18. Snacks provided courtesy of the Friends of the Library of Hernando County, Inc.
