Live Oak Theatre Offering Youth Acting Classes

Vince Vanni as Professor-Wizard of OzLive Oak Theatre is now offering two levels of acting classes in acting for ages 8 through 18. Introduction to Acting is being held on Saturdays from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. and will cover basic elements of acting, terminology, proper movement, characterization, line expression, basic scene study, using humor, memorizing and delivering monologues and more. It is designed to prepare students for the conservatory’s acting class. Those who complete the course will be prepared to audition for stage and video film projects. The second level acting class is offered to students who have already studied basic elements of acting. Students explore the art of acting through the study of various dramatic techniques including perfecting the monologue, theatrical movement, developing their character, perfecting the audition, understanding “sub-text,” scene study and analysis, perfecting humor, acting for commercials and much more. The class is held from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturdays. Both acting classes are conducted by Vince Vanni who has been successfully teaching acting in Hernando County for over 25 years.

The theatre offers 22 different classes in dance, music, voice, and acting for children ages 6 through 18. A full list of classes can be found on the website at LiveOakTheatre.org.
