House Donated to Local Charity Helping Single Moms & Kids

The Life Center of Hernando County, a charitable organization that takes in young, single moms who are at risk of becoming homeless, received a very generous donation recently. Rev. Charles Edgar “Ed” Finertie, Jr., who passed away on January 18, 2014 at the age of 74, had been an active participant and benefactor of The Life Center of Hernando (TLC). He had purchased a piece of property on Corliss Road for TLC to use. When he passed away the property was held jointly by a close-knit group of six cousins that grew up with Ed. They chose to donate the Corliss Road property to TLC as a way to carry on Ed’s charitable work and honor his memory. The Life Center of Hernando is grateful to these benefactors and is dedicating this property “To the glory of God and the memory of Ed Finertie.” A dedication ceremony will be held at the facility on Tuesday, August 18th.
