Hernando County has seen the addition of a Wawa, Bonefish, and fast-casual dining this past year…and now Shipt is expanding into the area. The grocery delivery service will begin servicing Spring Hill residents on Tuesday, November 17th. For those of us that loathe grocery shopping this is the best. News. Ever! So how does it work? Customers pay an annual fee of $99 or $14 per month for unlimited grocery deliveries of $35 or more. (If you sign up before the 17th the membership is just $49! Click here to sign up now.) Once you are signed up for a membership you simply use the Shipt app or website to order your groceries, which come from Publix. A Shipt shopper will deliver them to you within an hour. According to the Shipt website their prices “vary slightly from in store prices.” If you don’t live in Spring Hill but would like Shipt to expand in our area and service your address please click here to suggest it to them!
Would like to get paid to shop? Shipt shoppers only need to be 18+ years old with a current driver’s license, reliable transportation, the ability to lift 25+ pounds, knowledge of produce selection, and familiarity with using a smartphone. A thorough background check is also required. Click here for additional information about becoming a shopper.
