Free Program Aims to Teach Defensive Driving Skills to Teen Drivers

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is hosting another Teen Driver Challenge, This is a two-day defensive driving and vehicle control program designed to provide young drivers, age 16, 17 and 18, with the knowledge and understanding of vehicle dynamics and human kinetics, the forces created by an automobile and the effects of the forces on the human body.

The next Teen Driver Challenge Session is being held May 19th and 20th. The classroom instruction will be held Friday at the Sheriff’s Main Office in Brooksville from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. The range instruction portion will be held on Saturday at the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
