Elections Office Warns Voters of Mailing from Voter Participation Center

Hernando County Supervisor of Elections, Shirley Anderson, would like to inform voters on what to do if they receive a mailing with a voter registration application from the Voter Participation Center (VPC). Over 2,600 voters in Hernando County have received this mailing.

“We have received calls from voters who are already registered and are questioning why they have received this form. Some voters have received this form addressed to their adult children who live out of state or a family member that has been deceased for several years. This can be very confusing to voters and further erodes confidence in the elections process,” stated Supervisor Anderson.

If you have received this mailing you can confirm your status as a Hernando County registered voter by clicking on this link: http://www.hernandovotes.com/Voters/Voter-Lookup-Tool or by calling the Hernando County Supervisor of Elections office at 352-754-4125. If you received this form for a family member who does not reside in the state or a minor child, please shred and dispose of.

To contact the Voter Participation Center call Jennifer Carrier at (202) 420-3034 or toll-free (877) 255-6750.
