It’s time for this year’s Relay For Life, where walkers will go around the clock in the battle against cancer! Relay for Life events are held overnight as individuals and teams camp out at the track, with the goal of keeping at least one team member on the track or pathway at all times throughout the evening. They are meant to celebrate the survivors of cancer, recognize their caregivers, bring awareness to the community, and of course raise money for cancer research and treatment for patients. It is a unique opportunity for our community to come together to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against the disease. Spring Hill Relay For Life kicks off at 6:00 pm April 29th at Nature Coast Technical High School (4057 California St, Brooksville, FL) and will feature a variety of activities and entertainment. There are currently 75 teams and 504 participants who have raised more than $80,000 to fight cancer! Funds raised at Relay For Life of Spring Hill help the American Cancer Society to impact the lives of those touched by cancer. Teams do most of their fundraising prior to the event, but some teams also hold creative fundraisers at their camp sites during Relay. You can show your support by attending the Relay For Life, sponsoring a team, or donating online (click here to donate now). For additional information visit relayforlife.org/springhillfl.
