The Annual Greek Festival will be held February 7th & 8th from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. indoors at the Hernando County Fairgrounds (6436 Broad Street, Brooksville, FL 34601). The Festival will feature Greek food, beer & wine, live Greek music by Demetri of Demetri & the Islanders, Greek folk dancing, belly dancing, dance lessons, door prizes, and a Gyro Eating competition. There will be a kids’ zone with bounce houses, a slide, face painters, and balloon artists. Admission is a $2 donation for adults and kids are free but there is a $3 charge per wristband for the bounce houses and slide. On Saturday a one mile Toga Fun Run will start at 10:30 a.m. (costumes are applauded & encouraged) with awards for top male & female ages 5-12 & ages 13+. Pre-register (click here) by January 31st for just $15 per person or $50 for a family of four which includes an event t-shirt and free admission to the Festival. Proceeds will benefit New Beginnings Youth Shelter, Hernando County Rotary Club, & Christ the Savior Orthodox Church.
